Hi!
My name is João Neves and I'm a MSc Student at Instituto Superior Técnico (IST).
I am currently working on my masters thesis at INESC-ID on resource discovery in P2P networks for CPU cycle-sharing for the Ginger project under the advice of Prof. Luís Veiga.
I have interest in diverse areas such as: Security, P2P systems, parallel and distributed computing and genetic programming.
My hobbies include martial arts (currently practicing Okinawa Goju-Ryu Karate-do at Clube Atlético de Queluz), watching anime, experimenting with not-so-popular programming languages and learning other (human) languages (mainly East Asia languages like Japanese). I also like to play Shogi every now and then.
