PLANETNODES INTRODUCTION

This page belongs to an experimental project where we try to measure the comunication between nodes
of PlanetLab with pings TCP and UDP. We will show here all the data collect from this experiment.
You, as a member of PlanetLab community, will be able to search for nodes that don't present any trouble.
A platform of such great importance as PlanetLab is well regarded in the scientific community worldwide,
more than 1,000 researchers from top universities and industrial laboratories have about 1087 nodes in 509 sites
around the world.
Despite the enormous advantages that this platform gives to the community,
particularly the international scientific community of computer science, the selection of reliable nodes to
use in testing is a task too complicated or even impossible, when you need to run an application in a controlled
manner large number.
With this problem it was necessary to create a tool to monitor the characteristics of the connections
between the various nodes and record how far a node is viable or not, making easier the selection of nodes to
be used in experiments by all users PlanetLab.
